Akool Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: October 16th, 2026

This Akool Refund and Cancellation Policy (this “Policy”) explains how subscription cancellations, credits, refunds, billing corrections, and service interruptions are handled for Akool products and services purchased through akool.com. It applies alongside the Akool Terms of Service, the terms shown at checkout, and any signed order form. If mandatory consumer law gives you a stronger right, that law applies.

  1. Subscriptions and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the period and at the price disclosed when you subscribe, unless you cancel before renewal. You may cancel at any time from “Billing” or “Manage Plan” within your Akool account. If self-service cancellation is unavailable, contact info@akool.com. We will confirm receipt of your request.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless applicable law requires otherwise or this Policy provides a refund, your paid features remain available through the end of the current billing period and the current period’s subscription fee is not prorated. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal time to reduce the risk of the next charge; if you cancel later and a renewal charge has already been submitted, contact us promptly so we can review it.

If you start a free or discounted trial that converts to a paid plan, the conversion date, price, billing frequency, and cancellation instructions will be shown before you agree. You can cancel before conversion to avoid the first paid charge. Any statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights remain available.

  2. Refunds for subscriptions

Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, except where this Policy, the checkout terms, or applicable law provides otherwise. We will refund or credit a charge when it was collected in error, including a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or a charge made after a timely cancellation that we received.

For your first paid subscription purchase, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days of successful payment, provided that no paid credits or other paid benefits from that purchase have been used for a successfully completed task. Logging in, browsing, or using free features that do not consume paid credits does not count as use. This refund window does not apply to renewals, plan upgrades, trial activation fees, or enterprise/API commitments, unless the applicable order terms state otherwise.

Renewal charges are not eligible for a refund under this Policy, even if you have not used the renewed period. This does not affect refunds for billing errors, charges made after a timely cancellation, unauthorized charges, or any refund or remedy required by applicable law.

  3. Credits and add-ons

Subscription credits are issued for the billing period shown in your plan. Credits that are unused at the end of that period expire and do not roll over, unless your plan or order form expressly states otherwise. Enterprise plans may include non-expiring credits where that feature is part of the applicable plan.

For a one-time credit pack or credit top-up, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days of successful payment if no credits from that specific purchase have been used for a successfully completed task. Using credits from another purchase does not by itself make the pack ineligible. Other usage, concurrency, or feature add-ons are non-refundable once the benefit has been made available, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Overdraft credits billed through dynamic billing are final and non-refundable. Credits are not cash and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.

The credit quantity, expiration date (if any), eligible products, and price for a subscription or add-on will be disclosed before purchase. If we change an expiration rule for credits you have already purchased, we will not shorten the disclosed validity period.

  4. Technical failures and service problems

If a paid generation fails or is recorded as failed, we will return any credits deducted for that task to your account, based on the task billing record. A credit return corrects the account balance; it is not a refund to your payment method. If a verified Akool technical issue materially prevents you from using a paid feature, contact support with the affected task or generation ID, the approximate time, and a brief description. We will investigate and, where appropriate, rerun the task, extend access, issue an account credit, or refund the affected portion of the charge.

A generation that completed but did not meet a subjective preference or creative expectation is not, by itself, a technical failure. We will not charge credits again to correct a failed task where our system recorded a failure or duplicate deduction.

  5. Billing errors and unauthorized charges

If you see a duplicate, incorrect, or unrecognized charge, contact info@akool.com as soon as possible and include the account email, transaction ID, date, and amount. Do not send full payment card details. We will review account and processor records, correct confirmed billing errors, and return the amount to the original payment method where practicable.

If payment was processed by an app store, reseller, or other third party, its refund process may apply. We will direct you to the appropriate provider when we cannot issue the refund ourselves. This does not remove any rights you have against Akool under applicable law.

  6. How to request a refund

Email info@akool.com from your Akool account email or submit a request through the support channel in your account. Include the transaction ID, charge date, amount, product or plan, and the reason for your request. For technical issues, include relevant task IDs or screenshots if available. We may ask for reasonable information needed to verify the account and investigate.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the funds. If a subscription refund is approved, the subscription ends when the refund is processed and paid access stops at that time. A cancellation without a refund keeps paid access through the end of the current billing period.

  7. Consumer rights and exceptions

Nothing in this Policy excludes, limits, or delays a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Depending on where you live and whether you are buying as a consumer or business, you may have rights to withdraw, cancel, receive a refund, or obtain a remedy for digital content or services that are faulty, not as described, or not supplied as promised. Where applicable law requires specific consent or disclosures before digital services begin or before a withdrawal right can end, we will honor those requirements.

  8. Changes to this policy and contact

We may update this Policy by posting a revised version with an updated effective date. A change will not reduce rights attached to a purchase already made unless the change is required by law or you agree. For questions or refund requests, contact info@akool.com.
