Content Moderation Policy
Last Updated: March 18 2025
1. Overview
Akool provides AI-powered creative tools that allow users to generate, edit, and store multimedia content. As a platform provider, Akool is not the creator or publisher of user content, but we are committed to ensuring our services are used responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws worldwide.
This document outlines how Akool manages content, what is considered a violation, and how we respond to such issues.
2. Akool’s Role
Akool operates as a content infrastructure platform, similar to cloud service providers (like AWS or Google Cloud) and content hosting or generation platforms (like Reddit, Canva, or YouTube). We provide the technical tools and AI-powered systems that enable users to create, edit, translate, and publish content. However, Akool does not control or oversee the specific way these tools are used or the exact content that is generated by each user.
While our platform facilitates content creation, the responsibility for that content lies with the user. This includes any text, images, audio, video, or other media generated, uploaded, or shared using Akool’s services. We do not claim ownership of user-generated content, nor do we pre-approve or filter every piece of content created on the platform.
In the same way, Akool is a facilitator — not a publisher, producer, or editor — of user content.
We reserve the right to take corrective action — such as disabling access, removing content, or suspending accounts — if violations are identified through these mechanisms.
Platform Liability Disclaimer
While Akool implements content moderation policies and automated detection systems in good faith, we:
- Do not guarantee that all violating or unlawful content will be identified or removed promptly.
- Are not liable for any harm, loss, or damages resulting from user-generated content hosted on or distributed through our platform.
- Retain the right to remove or restrict access to content or user accounts that violate our policies or laws but do so at our sole discretion.
No Endorsement
Any views, opinions, or statements expressed by users on Akool’s platform are those of the respective users alone and do not reflect the views of Akool, its employees, or affiliates.
In summary, Akool is a neutral platform provider, not an active participant in the creation or intent behind user content. Our role is to empower creativity, not to police or co-author results. Users must use our tools responsibly and in accordance with local laws and platform policies.
By using Akool, users agree to comply with this Content Management & Safety Policy, our Terms of Service, and all applicable platform policies.

We provide guidelines and educational materials to foster a positive platform, emphasizing the responsible use of Al tools.

4. AI Model Training
Data Sourcing
At AKOOL, we uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical practices in the development of our Al models, ensuring that all data used in training is appropriately sourced and compliant with copyright laws.
Our commitment is twofold: to foster innovation and creativity in Al development while rigorously protecting intellectual property rights. This commitment is reflected in our data sourcing strategy, which includes:
Self-Produced and Licensed Content: We prioritize the creation of our own datasets through self-produced content, capturing a wide range of scenarios under controlled conditions to ensure diversity and relevance in our models. Additionally, we complement our datasets with content licensed from reputable sources, ensuring that all licensed videos and images are used in strict compliance with their licensing agreements. This approach not only guarantees the legality and ethical use of content but also enhances the robustness and versatility of our Al models.
Commercial Datasets from Third Parties: Recognizing the value of external expertise and resources, AKOOL acquires commercial datasets from leading data providers, including but not limited to Quest Labs, Datatang and Data Baker. These partnerships are grounded in transparent and legal agreements, ensuring that every piece of data purchased has been ethically sourced and is free from copyright infringement. Our rigorous selection process for third-party datasets includes a comprehensive review of the providers’ data collection and licensing practices, affirming their adherence to legal standards and respect for intellectual property.
By sourcing data through these two primary channels, AKOOL ensures the ethical development of Al technologies. We are committed to transparency in our data sourcing practices, providing assurance that the foundation of our Al models rests on legally compliant and ethically gathered data. This approach not only safeguards against copyright infringement but also aligns with our overarching principles of fostering a respectful and legally compliant digital environment.
5. Content Detection, Review, and Enforcement
Akool is committed to maintaining a safe, lawful, and respectful platform for all users. We are actively developing a multi-layered content safety framework designed to detect and respond to violations of our policies and applicable laws.
Moderation features include:
a. Automated Detection
At AKOOL, our commitment to creating a safe and respectful digital environment is underpinned by sophisticated Al technology. Here’s how we leverage cutting-edge Al to monitor and moderate content:
- Advanced Image and Video Analysis: Our Al algorithms are trained to detect nudity, extreme violence, and other forms of inappropriate content with high accuracy. These systems analyze visual content in real-time, flagging and preventing the upload of prohibited material.
- Large Language Models (LLM) scans are employed to review textual content for profanity, hate speech, and offensive language, understanding context and nuances. We use LLMs to scan and understand the context of textual content, identifying and filtering out profanity, hate speech, and other forms of offensive language. This technology allows us to interpret nuances and variations in language use, ensuring a comprehensive moderation approach.
- Audio Content Screening: Our Al extends its capabilities to audio content, detecting harmful or offensive language and sounds that may violate our platform standards. This includes the analysis of speech patterns, tones, and background noises that could indicate prohibited content.
-
Continuous Learning and Improvement: Our Al systems are designed to learn from their interventions, incorporating
feedback from manual reviews to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
This continuous improvement cycle ensures our technology evolves to meet new challenges and adapts to emerging forms of content. - User Feedback Integration: We supplement Al moderation with user reports, providing a feedback loop that informs the Al’s learning process. This human-Al collaboration ensures nuanced content decisions and upholds our platform standards.
By integrating these advanced Al technologies, AKOOL proactively prevents the processing and dissemination of nudity, extreme violence, profanity, and other forms of prohibited content, ensuring a safe platform for creativity and expression.
b. User Reporting
Akool will implement a user reporting tool that allows individuals to flag inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content directly from our platform interface.
Additionally, Akool respects the intellectual property rights of creators and rights holders. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on our platform without authorization, you may submit a takedown request in accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
c. Moderation Response
Once content is flagged, we plan to:
- Review flagged content for policy or legal violations
- Remove or restrict access to confirmed violations
- Take action against repeat offenders (including warnings, suspensions, or bans)
- Notify relevant authorities in extreme cases (e.g., illegal content or threats)
- In severe cases, use legal action
d. Platform content approval
To protect our platform space and uphold Akool’s content standards, all content submitted to the platform (e.g., public galleries, user forums, shared tutorials) undergoes mandatory human review prior to publication.
Content will be assessed for:
- Harmful or offensive material
- Copyright or privacy violations
- Spam, deceptive, or AI-manipulated content without disclosure
Akool reserves the right to reject or request revisions for any submission that does not meet our content safety and quality criteria.
e. Repeat Infringer Policy
Akool will track takedown requests and will implement a repeat infringer policy that may include:
- Warnings for first-time or accidental violations
- Temporary restrictions or content upload limits
- Account suspension or termination for repeated, intentional infringement
This policy is intended to balance user creativity with copyright enforcement and may include safeguards for fair use disputes.
6. Transparency and Reporting
Akool is committed to transparency in how we enforce our content policies. Starting in Jan 2025, we plan to publish semiannual Transparency Reports outlining the scope and nature of our enforcement actions. These reports will include:
- Number of content takedowns, categorized by type of violation (e.g., copyright, harmful content, illegal use)
- Number of accounts we identified and banned
These reports are intended to give our users, partners, and regulators insight into our content moderation practices and their effectiveness.

- Data Breach Prevention and Response: Protocols are in place for swift identification and response to any data breaches, ensuring immediate remediation and notification to affected users.
- Prohibition on Data Sharing: We strictly prohibit the sharing of user data, including content and personal information, with third parties without explicit user consent, reinforcing our commitment to privacy and data protection.

- No Al Training with User Data: We guarantee that user data, including content uploaded or generated, is not utilized for training Al models. Our Al systems are developed with datasets that adhere to the highest standards of data privacy, excluding user-generated content from our platform.
- Data Deletion After Processing: User data is permanently deleted from our systems once processed for its intended purpose or analyzed for content moderation or user support, ensuring no retention beyond the necessary duration.
- No Secondary Use: User data is strictly used for agreed-upon purposes, such as content moderation or support, without being exploited for marketing, research, or other secondary activities without clear consent.
- Ensuring Data Security: We adopt advanced security measures to shield user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction, incorporating encryption, access control, and secure software development practices.
-
Ongoing Review and Compliance: Our data handling practices are continually reviewed and adjusted to stay in
line with evolving regulations and best practices in data protection, demonstrating our commitment to legal
compliance and user privacy.
For any inquiries or concerns about our data privacy and security measures, please contact our support team at privacy@akool.com. We are dedicated to providing transparency and addressing any questions related to user data privacy and security.
b. Limitations of Storage
Akool is not a long-term content storage solution. While content is stored to enable user access and editing:
- We do not guarantee permanent availability of user content
- Files may be deleted after extended inactivity or platform maintenance
- We recommend users export or archive important files externally
8. User Data Rights & Privacy

10. Generative AI Disclosure Requirements
Akool recognizes the importance of transparency in the use of AI-generated content, particularly as synthetic media becomes increasingly indistinguishable from human-created work. To promote user trust and comply with evolving global regulations, users must clearly disclose when content is generated or significantly altered using AI tools provided by Akool.
Required Disclosures:
- Synthetic Identity or Likeness: If your content depicts realistic representations of people, voices, or settings generated using AI, you must indicate that the content is synthetic when required.
- AI-Altered Content: If existing media has been substantially modified (e.g., face swaps, voice cloning, deepfake-style manipulation), appropriate labeling or captioning is the user’s responsibility when required.
- Public Sharing Obligations: All content submitted to public areas of Akool (e.g., community galleries, public-facing campaigns, shared projects) must include an “AI-generated” or equivalent label if created using our generative tools.
User Responsibility:
- It is the sole responsibility of the user to accurately disclose the synthetic nature of their content when legally or ethically required.
- Akool reserves the right to add automatic indicators or metadata flags to assist in disclosure and ensure platform transparency.
